Urbex – past alive
Urbex, short for „Urban Exploration“, describes the exploration of lost places in mostly urban space. It is a genre for adventurers and nostalgics: One feels transported back to distant times, experiences how nature reclaims, overgrows and covers up what has been created by man, how time finally wins. Urbex locations are places of silence. In them one feels like experiencing a place outside time.
Urbex is associated with emptiness and the past – but there are also places that look like Urbex Locations, but are still very up-to-date and lively. The photos are taken in India and Cuba.
